Kingsguard AvA Titles and Superlatives

“Every boy dreams of serving in the Kingsguard.”

The Kingsguard AvA is upon us. Duty, Honor and Service until death. Or four days, whichever comes first.  The phase will begin Friday, October 13th at 11:00 A.M. ET (15:00 UTC) and run until Tuesday, October 17th at 11:00 A.M. ET (15:00 UTC). Daily Superlative Results will be posted in the forum, as usual, and Final Superlative Results will be announced no later than Thursday, October 19th. The rewards will also be granted on October 19th.

As started with the Knight Phase, we are offering two sets of titles for first and second rank regional winners.

Kingsguard Phase Superlatives are as follows.

Please note that the first and second place Alliances in any region are not eligible for that region’s Superlative, though they can win Superlatives in other regions, along with the All Regions Superlative. The winner of All Regions Superlative is ineligible to win other Superlatives. Finally, for those who might wonder, ‘per participant’ refers to all alliance members participating in this AvA across all regions, not just those members active in the region with the ‘per participant’ Superlative.

Time for a Blitz: The Oracle Phase is Coming!

As a heads-up, we are excited to announce that the next AvA will be a ‘blitz’ phase: a short phase where we change the rules to create a uniquely different experience, and to test new functionality and features. As you might recall, the last blitz phase was Rogue, which ran in May. This new blitz is Oracle.

Oracle will run from Wednesday, November 1st at 11:00 A.M. ET (15:00 UTC), to Friday, November 3rd at 11:00 A.M. ET (15:00 UTC). In case you’re wondering, we always run blitz phases during the week to ensure we have all technical hands on deck to handle any unforeseen issues related to new functionality.

While some of the changes we made for Rogue will be included in Oracle, we are updating several of these to address balancing and fairness issues—for example, with Passive VP calculations. And, of course, we will introduce completely new changes and functionality too. One aspect that won’t change, however, is that Oracle will include real Titles and Rewards.

Following Kingsguard, we will provide you and your Alliance all the details you will need to prepare for Oracle. Stay tuned for that. Until then, have fun in Kingsguard and good luck!
