The following presentation was given by Jon Radoff at Casual Connect 2013 in San Francisco. It discusses how media markets (like TV and games) tend to cultivate more sophisticated audiences over time; and touches upon how many publishers miss opportunities to develop innovative products (such as those that are pushing the envelope in terms of story).
It's a bit funny to call it a "post mortem" since Game of Thrones Ascent is a living, evolving product. For example, we're continuing to innovate on storytelling, and there's a ton we still want to add to the game (especially in areas like diplomacy, Alliance vs. Alliance features, political/military conflict, etc.), but it might give you a taste about how we think about things and how we're thinking differently than other games in our category.
