Disruptor Beam Names Pete Arden Chief Marketing Officer

Game Industry and Agency Veteran Joins Team as It Prepares to Launch Star Trek Timelines for Mobile & Web

July 9, 2015 (Boston, MA) – Disruptor Beam, a company that strives to be the most community-centric game company in the world, has today announced the appointment of game industry veteran and digital native Pete Arden as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer. Arden will be responsible for overseeing the successful launch of the upcoming Disruptor Beam game Star Trek Timelines and other key marketing activities as the company grows.

Arden enters this role with more than two decades of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in growth-oriented consumer entertainment businesses and at top-tier marketing agencies. Before joining Disruptor Beam, Arden most recently served as the Vice President of Marketing for CCP Games, where he led marketing communications efforts for the Reykjavik-based videogame company’s global publishing organization and its flagship title, EVE Online. Prior to CCP, he served as Marketing Creative Director at Trion Worlds, Inc., where he supported the launch of the company’s first two premium online games, Rift and Defiance. At the front-end of his career, Arden held roles with Organic Media, NextPlanetOver.com, Hasbro’s Games.com, and PlanetOut Inc., before founding and leading his own marketing practice, Hex15 Consulting.

A graduate of New York University, Arden has dedicated his entire career to the marketing and design of digital entertainment products. Other game titles that he has worked on include Guild Wars 2, Aion, and EVE: Valkyrie.
